java - Solr highlights shorter similar words -


looking in pointing me in right direction. new user solr , using solrj pull data search engine.

everything seems work fine except highlighting not working expected. if search word operational, hits on word operational not highlighted. words highlighted operation.

same thing happens following words:

  • commander ---> command highlighted
  • personal ---> person highlighted
  • understanding --> understand highlighted
  • developmental --> development highlighted
  • operational --> operation highlighted

another thing noticed 4 or 5 letter words have not problem being highlighted when searched for, longer words.

this highlighting behavior due use of stemmer in fieldtype field against requesting highlights. when query operational stemmer reducing word down operation , finding highlight against term. recommend having separate field field type not include stemmer , return highlighting field.

qt - Errors in generated MOC files for QT5 from cmake -
