web - How to point a domain without changing name servers -


my client has website @ examplea.com, want new domain name exampleb.com point server hosts examplea.com.

they have emails setup exampleb.com...so want avoid changing name servers, in case mess these settings (i don't know info yet).

if want exampleb.com point different server, dns records should change? have static ip server.

yes, update a record. may have update web server config file on examplea.com server listen , serve requests exampleb.com.

if static ip address have in ipv6 format have update aaaa dns record.
